🐟 About the Founder – Barry Martin

Hi, I’m Barry Martin, the heart behind CATAH (Cabin Aquatics: The Aqua House). I’m 25 years old and have been raising and breeding fish since 2015. What started as a simple hobby quickly grew into a lifelong passion — rescuing, caring for, and sharing the beauty of aquatic life with others.

I love seeing the smiles and excitement that come from welcoming a new aquatic friend into someone’s home. Every fish has a story, and through CATAH, I’m proud to help each one find its place — whether it’s through rescue, rehoming, or responsible breeding.

🌿 Our Story – The History of CATAH

CATAH began as a small, home-based fish rescue built from a passion for aquatic life and a belief that every fish deserves a chance to thrive. What started with a few rescued tanks soon grew into a full-scale fish rescue, breeding, and rehoming operation.

Over the years, we’ve worked with hobbyists, breeders, and everyday fish owners across the United States — helping them rehome fish they could no longer keep, while growing a sustainable breeding program that supports healthy, responsibly raised stock.

As our community expanded, so did our purpose. Today, CATAH stands for more than just a name — it’s a movement of care, rescue, and respect for aquatic life. From our home base, we continue to rescue, breed, and distribute fish nationwide, making it easier for aquatic life to find safe, permanent homes.
